Supporting Children & Families

Early Literacy 4 All is a nonprofit organization recognizing a national literacy crisis. We work hand-in-hand with children, families, and the community in need of books and essential reading resources. We maximize every contribution to ensure children have the opportunity to read and succeed.

Where it Begins
A child's capacity to succeed in school depends on their ability to read. Early literacy skills begin to develop as early as infancy.

Kindergarten
35% of kindergarten children lack the basic skills to learn how to read. Skills included: "pretend" reading, retelling stories when looking at pages, names, and letters of the alphabet, and printing own name.

Drop Rates
65% of 4th-grade students read below grade level, contributing t an increased dropout rate(8,000).
